Pricing
We work with clients all over the world, so we try to work within each individual client's budget. Most of our clients have space rates that they pay. We also charge by the space a picture is used in a magazine, book or newspaper. The categories are 1/4 page, 1/3, 1/2, 3/4, full page, double page and cover. New clients should send us their space rates so we can invoice for the proper amount. It also helps ensure that we are both clear on the fee.
Billing
We will send you a bill after you have used the picture. You are responsible for sending us a copy of the publication in which the image appeared. All photos from Spectrum Pictures and its photographers must carry our credit line. Any picture that doesn't have our credit line will be charged double. If you should change your mind about using a picture after you have ordered a high-resolution image there is a minimum fee of 50 Euros.
Assignments
When you need a photographer to shoot an assignment it is necessary to discuss the price and expenses before we send someone out. Again, most of our clients have standard assignment rates, but we always discuss the price beforehand since each assignment has its unique aspects. You can choose a photographer whose style fits your preferences and we will discuss the assignment with you. We need to know deadlines, media requirements and other information to make sure everyone is happy. We have a wide selection of photographers in all different price ranges. Some of our younger photographers who are starting out are willing to work for less than some of our more experienced photographers. Also be aware that fashion photographers charge different rates than photojournalists. The key is good communication to enable us to find the right photographer to fit your budget and style.
